Masters of American Comics
I went to see the Masters of American Comics exhibit at the Milwaukee Art Museum today and I was blown away. It's a fantastic display of the original drawings and a few paintings of the big wigs of comics, from Winsor McCay and Will Eisner to Robert Crumb and Chris Ware.
Even more impressive, was that I managed to keep from buying anything at the exhibit's gift shop. Man, did I wanna! But, after laying down in the middle of the floor and weeping and pulling at my shirt - then, being asked to leave - I decided not to get anything just now.
Everyone should go. It just started this weekend in Milwaukee, so you have time.

All the Will Eisner stuff has been reprinted in fucking GORGEOUS hardcover - but there are like over 20 volumes of the Spirit stuff alone and each one retails for $50!!!!
They would look sooo good on a bookshelf and if I ever get rich I will:
A) Buy a Bookshelf
B) Buy the all the Spirit books and put them on it.
